Thanks queenopearls, I was afraid to adjust the tension, but took a deep breath and began. The bobbin thread is great now and the top thread is still coming down to the bottom of my practice piece. I know it is the thread tension and I must adjust it some more. I no longer have shredding , or skipped stitch issues. I am currently using Signature 40 wt, all cotton thread. I am going to get some thread from the Superior thread site, probably the King Tut or Bottom Line or maybe try both. So far I love my Juki. It is much fun and easy to use.
