Yes, they do match up if your 1/4" seam is correct. I've made 2 and mine did. Here's a tutorial on getting your seams correct:
http://www.quiltingboard.com/tutoria...ce-t89997.html Also, if you are using a precut jelly roll, they are sometimes cut a bit off. Measure your strips and see if they are exactly 2 1/2". Having said all this, if you love your fabric, I wouldn't worry too much. You are probably the only one who will notice!
