new member here I am 53 yrs housewife I am an expat living in Europe last 3 decades. I have a lot of hobbies and got online a bit late in life. Via internet I found quilting and I got into handquilting in 2008. I make mostly small items as I work by hand.My largest item is a two-sided christmas/fall/autumn throw which is still not finished. I tend to go in cycles with my hobbies so I do not do handquilting the complete year. Some of my other hobbies are cross stitch, cardmaking, perfume, aromatherapy, some crochet again mostly small items, beadwork, jewelry making etc
I am mostly home due to health reasons I have heart failure and some osteoartritis and more issues. My hobbies are a way of spending my time at home. I shop for quilt fabric online as the heart failure makes me too tired for the shops.My stash I sorted and folded last Sunday. I have a small quilt fabric stash part of a cabinet and for scraps 1 small bin.
I like being creative do not work from patterns but make things myself.I learned handsewing when I was 8 in school. Handquilting is something I enjoy.
