I have a sewhandy child's sewing machine that I demonstrated to my 8 year old grandson. After playing with it myself, I thought it would be safer to teach him to use my Bernina. He practiced for several month, then we started his quilt. he sewed the blocks himself. When we had enough to make a queen size quilt to fit his bed we placed them the way he wanted them to be and finished his quilt together. His Mother is so proud of him. He told her that he will teach her to quilt some day.
