the forest behind us is town owned. the town is thinning it out...but they are doing alot of it as well as private owners in the area now...one mountain side that is private owned is almost empty...very bare. There are wood trucks full every day...its not only here but though out our town.
What state do you live it? That severe cutting sounds dangerous to me, but then what do we know.....wonder wher all that wood is going...to Japan/China to be cut then "sold" back to us. Don't think we have many sawmills these days...only fast food restaurants!
