good morning kyquiltlover1942. That's my birthyear too! We're the same age. I'm not sure you read the same book The Quilt that I was speaking of. Mine was by T. Davis Bunn and there wasn't a little boy in the one I read. It was about a grandmother who made a quilt as her last accomplishment on this earth. Very touching. Maybe there's another one called the quilt with a little boy in it. Who wrote the one you read? I might get it for my kindle also. Let me recommend mine to you also. Very nice story. Have a good day! btw, did you make washable quilts for your gkds from wedding gowns, etc.? I want to make one but am concerned about how to keep it clean using it for a baby. Any thoughts on that? I don't want them to have to dryclean it every time baby spits on it. Not sure if satin will work with frequent washing. Thanks for your input!
