Don't remember that discussion, but I don't remember a lot of things LOL! Why do you want to wind thread from a cone to an empty spool? Is it to use on your domestic machine? If so , there are ways to use a cone with your DM. I haven't used one yet, I'm still trying to get through all my spools LOL , I'm sure there are people hear that can tell you better than me.
