In place of the fine tips, take scotch tape and wrap around the standard tip making a point at the top. Take sissors and cut off just the tip. Or take a pin and poke a hole into the top of the tip. You now have a fine tip to make fine lines of glue. I use this method when using the small bottles of craft paints. When done pull off the tape and close the bottle. No washing the tip and you have a new one each time.
