need to know the size of blocks (chevrons) you plan to make? then adding borders? measurements of finished quilt? number of blocks needed before borders...I find it easiest to sit down with a sheet of graph paper- figure out the block, all of the measurements - then do the math to find what I need for the whole quilt- graph paper is my best friend when it comes to designing a quilt.
