Default Batik Courthouse Steps

I took a class in November of 2011 at a LQS. I had bought about 25 FQ's over the years at their sales so I did not have to go and buy anything but the pattern and the black fabric for the centers and the border. It is not difficult to make but you do have to make sure the color choices/fabrics all match with the row ahead and beside it. I did not have anywhere to lay the quilt down comfortably so I really didn't enjoy making it as much as I do others. I took it away with me this past winter determined to finish it and I did. I told my DH I was so glad to get it done, I didn't even want to keep it. When he saw the finished product, he told me "it's a keeper for sure". I can look at it now and appreciate it but I doubt I would ever make any other quilt that is tessellated. The last picture actually shows the block with the black in the center where you start.
