Thanks Jan. I am making a Scrappy Crazy quilt for a daughter of a real good friend of mine who has stage 4 breast cancer. She is only 33 years old and has an 18 month old son. They found the cancer quite unexpectedly. They were trying to get Pregnant again and the doctor had her come in for a check up because she had all the symptoms of pregnant except no missed period, and the home test was neg. Dr found a small swelling, and well at her age they figured it was nothing!
My sister who was only 34 had the same symptoms, doctor ignored my sisters symptoms until it was too late, she died about two year later. Thankfully My Friend Gloria knew to push and told the Doctor that they wanted a Mammogram any way, I hope that was enough to save her daughters life!!!
PLEASE PLEASE, don't let Doctors put off follow up testing NO MATTER WHAT YOUR AGE! Breast Cancer in younger women is so much more aggressive! There is no Breast Cancer that runs in their family, well not until now.
My goal is to have the top finished ready for Long arm by Mid Aug. I have Long Arm quilter who is going to give me a great price.
Thanks, Mb
