ManiacQuilter: I just took a look at some Bargello patterns, but I tend to be more of a traditionalist. But they are pretty!
This might be out in left field - but have you considered doing an applique like a Dresden Plate? You could use all of your fabrics in the fans for the plates and the center circles, and then just get a very neutral background fabric to put the plates on and for backing........I personally think that these fabrics would lend themselves nicely to a traditional pattern like that........
OR - (and I do not have the pattern for this as it is a very old quilt hand pieced and hand quilted by my Grandmother ) you could draft the pattern up for this block (simple half-square triangles, rectangles) and use an unbleached muslin type color for the light......(am trying to upload the photos so you can see this block)..
