Couldn't get comment in after I posted the above pictures. I also learned to sew making dollclothes for my Tony doll back in the 1950s. I still have one of my composition "little girl" dolls, though she is 14" so too small for AG stuff. The collection above are some I made for my granddaughter a while back. She is 8 now and brought her Sage with her when they visited a couple weeks ago. I helped her make a sweet red and white dress on my Featherweight. The other granddaughters are 14 and 12, so not into dolls any more, though they still have their AGs. The oldest made a quilt when they visited earlier this month. Two daughters and and their 5 kids drove out from Wichita KS to VT, so I had a ball sewing them, one at a time. I hated to see them go. Now I need to quilt the top that GD#1 made out of red, black and white strips. All her own design and work except for the mitred corners on border because it was getting too late and they had to leave the next day. One of the grandsons sewed a cat from a printed kit for his sister, and she made him a pillowcase. Other grandson made railroad models with Papa. I so envy folks with grands nearby!
