It does need to be Heat and Bond lite for sewing through. She might be able to use the buttonhole stitch to go around her appliqué because most of the stitch will be on the background.
Hi lillybeck. I agree with Tartan. There are different kinds of Heat & Bond and your friend needs to be sure that she bought the lite !!
