Thanks Cecelia. I did join the Elna Yahoo group. I am still cleaning, such a dirty girl. I don't think she had EVER been serviced. I do think it is the plastic bobbin case base that is the culprit. By comparing it to my Elna type 68 bobbin case it the base appears to have rough edges that prevents the thread from smoothly moving through the bobbin case. I will PM you regarding the bobbin case.
