There is only so much land; and it will get higher and higher as it sells. So few will be able to 'graze' their livestock in pastures because of the value of the land. Supply and demand; the heart of any economy.

If the American could unite and avoid all gas stations just one day, gas would decrease in price. Not to the seventeen and twenty-five cents like when I started to work, but well under the two dollar mark.

As big farming companies buy up the land and gain control, prices will raise higher. Average young farmer-to-be has to have help from parents who farm...and in the know on who has the $$$$$$$$$$$$$. One young man, graduating from Ag college, put himself in debt for six hundred thousand dollars to start a hog confinement business. Wonder how long it will take to clear his debt... wonder if his grandchildren will be able to pay it off.
