.......so far I do pretty much the same...then the following rows.....if the panto you have has a dotted pattern on top edge(same as top of actual panto)... Lock your laser on a high point of that "ghost" and roll your sandwich til needle (which is in up position) is on same place on sandwich----or close. So that when you snug up your rollers you are spot on! Then do that row same as first and so forth down to end. if the edge of your quilt is shy the size of panto...I take a dry erase marker and with needle (up) at edge pulling machine across the top I am drawing a line on plexi Across the pattern, then I freehand fudge that continuous design across to make a "new" top edge. Then you go girl.......

Now if your panto does not have a partial dotted design on top....I find the highest point of the design and start my next row about a finger (sideways) distance from last.....so when you are done the design flows together from row to row rather than looking like railroad tracks........
