I once bought blue & white Hawaiian hibiscus fabric just like the shirts to make one of these. The girl at the lqs counter said it would never work. I just wanted to smack her but I just smiled and said yes it will. She was just part time and wasn't there when I went back to show it.
The trick for me is to use fabric that has both large and small print and colors that I love. If there is a color in there in it that you don't like, it will be multiplied so try to avoid those as well. After that it's all about laying them out and rearranging them about a hundred times till you get it to the love spot!
