I had that set up with the 9" for 5 years and it was a workhorse. I recently sold it for $1100 cash.
While it is true, it is harder to quilt within the smaller throat area, it can be done, and successfully. You put the longest side on the bars. I've quilted many quilts (75x65) and bigger. the only reason I sold it was due to space. I had rented a studio to sew and quilt and decided I could have a lot of quilts done by someone else for the rent I was paying.
I miss the set up.
