I have that type of thing. My ironing board has two legs front and back, instead of the one leg front and back like in your picture. It works fine. There is a "ledge" around the bottom of the larger board that keeps it from sliding off. Not explaining it well, but I do like the rectangular shape better than the regular ironing board shape. It is always left up for ironing. It wouldn't be fun to take it down each time it was used.
