I have a Wheeler Wilson #9 that some brainiac decided to apply 40's era singer decals to (claiming it to be a "singer acquisition repaint" snore.... anyway..

The paint underneath is in good shape. I just want to remove the decals and then reapply the new replacement Singer 9w decals I just received.

Any suggestions on what method (we usually avoid) would work best with minimal damage to the paint underneath?
