If you can obtain a copy of Mary Ellen Hopkins' book called

"The It's Okay if You Sit on My Quilt Book"

it might be very helpful to you.


That was one of my first quilting books way back when. Definitely "old school" (about 1985) but modern enough to include rotary cutting.
