I purchased some Sue Bonnet blocks a few years ago on ebay however they are only ironed on and I know they should probably be held down with an applique stitch. I am using reproduction fabrics for the sashing and borders and will most likely send it off to get professionally quilted. Will the blocks be ok with out stitching them down, will the quilting be enough or do I need to stitch around everything. The sewing machine is a little difficult to do so I'm just wondering. Forgive me for the terrible picture. I'm hoping quilting the blocks will be sufficient
