Last night I finished this quilt for a dear friend of mine from church who has been going through a very hard patch of life in the past 6 months as she was grieving for her grand-daughter who passed away at 14 because of complication with spina bifida and hydrocephalus. As they are all living under a same roof, Miss Lizzie was cared for lovingly by her whole family of course but her grand-ma was her special person with whom she baked cakes, crafted lots of things together, decorated the house for Christmas, etc.... so my friend had this feeling of having lost her purpose in life. Since she still needs lots of hugs, I told her that every time she uses this quilt, it was a hug from me
