You could end up damaging your machine too. Although the 206x13 and 15x1 look similar, there is a length difference at the point. The eye to top length is the same, the eye to the point is shorter on the 206x13 and that's the problem. If you shorten the 15x1 at the top then the eye position is off. Same thing if you adjust the needle bar.

Best to to just hunt down an original double needle.
