I've been intending to get this done for a long time - a house-warming gift for a friend and co-worker. Knew I wanted to do something with animal prints for her, but couldn't find something that I thought really fit.

Well, the tube-stripping found me, as well as the little giraffe panel for the centre.

And ta-da, it just went together lickety-split :)

Also used Sharon Schamber's glue method for the binding. For the quilting, used once more my machine embroidery stitches ... did a blanket stitch outline around each of the 'diamonds' and around the giraffe, as well as outlining the other major seams. What great fun this one turned out to be!

Machine washed and dried (horrors - I do this to all my quilts, on purpose - they're intended to be used and want to be sure they'll stand up to washing).

The back - flannel animal print with zingy giraffe cotton panel.
