I read a review on irons a while ago and it suggested for your money the best working one with the best price was bought at Wal-mart for less than $30 and it was a Black & Decker model.

Sorry I don't remember where I read it.

I had a Rowenta that lasted for years ironing hubbys shirts then when I started quilting it finally gave up and I've bought two since and they don't last as long . . . .bummer.
