I'm so sorry!
I've been there, done that... it's a hard lesson to learn that's for sure... I now lightly pin the edges of my quilt (I'm a spray or glue baster) and that has helped a lot. I look for those pins and make sure I'm good to go... so far I haven't done it again since pinning but now that I put it out there....
