Here is the recipe that came to my mind when I read your post. However, it does not include peanuts or coconut. I think it sounds like a great addition so I may have to try that the next time I make them!
INGREDIENTS:
1/2 cup white sugar
1/2 cup light corn syrup
2 tablespoons butter
1/2 cup peanut butter
3 cups cornflakes cereal
DIRECTIONS:
1. Line a baking sheet with waxed paper. Bring the sugar and corn syrup to a boil in a saucepan over medium heat; stir in butter and peanut butter until thoroughly mixed, and remove from heat.
2. Place the corn flakes into a large bowl, and pour the peanut butter mixture over the cereal. Mix until the corn flakes are coated with the mixture. Drop by tablespoon onto the waxed paper; flatten slightly if desired. Allow to cool before serving.
