I have asked to speak to the store manager numerous times about the wonderful service one of their employees gave me. It is always interesting to watch their body language change as they brace themselves for what they think is going to be a negative tirade which turns out to be a positive happy moment.
I've experienced that, too, and it always makes me feel good to be able to contribute to that experience!
