I have no idea what you meant by your second sentence. However, the reference I made that most of Connecting Threads fabrics are printed in Mexico, not that Connecting Threads stuff is Chinese. Most, if not all WM fabrics are made in China.

Hand and feel aren't the only things that go into making a higher quality fabric. You also have to look at the quality of printing, the quality of the workmanship, the care, the quality of the greige goods used, and other factors. Next time you're comparing, compare things like the crispness of the design, the evenness of the dye coverage, the subtle tones and nuances of the patterns, and other things like that, as well as the finish and hand of the fabrics. You'll see a big difference.
You are among the WalMart haters. I have lots of fabrics from Walmart and I don't have to spend a fortune buying it. Since I give most of my quilts away it is just fine. I don't buy fabrics from LQS.
Connecting threads fabrics are really great. Since we don't have fabrics made in U.S.A., it has to come from somewhere.
