Default Good Morning

Good Morning Everyone,

I'm a very new quilter, my grandmother instilled the love of quilts in our lives she left us all family heirlooms with stories and love. Each quilt in my life has a story and memory and I'm at the age where I want to leave something "memorable" for my son and my family and friends. There is something comforting about being able to curl up in my grandmothers quilt and recall her stories and my own. For me quilting is history, creativity and enjoying the moments we pass on love, cat hair and tea stains and coffee spills , pulled threads and some stubborn knots. (cough) lol. Not to mention the way some of us find peace in sewing and somehow a connectedness to a more basic perhaps less stressful moment in the day.

I live in Texas with my hubby and three cats, Prissy, bella Mia and Sophia. I have amazing in laws and it's hot as all get out , right now and I sew late at night. My cats think that everything is theirs and I have to fight for space.. lolol .

My dresden is the project I want to finish...I'm struggling with how to sew it together. I have never made a quilt. It's daunting. I have bitten the bullet and started a paper piecing hexi - love, love , love it...( don't let em fool ya) not all those hexis fit lolol.. <-- right.

Anyway, I'm gonna hush and make some green tea.

Have a lovely day,

SumikoK
