DH and I live in our 36' Motorhome and I started quilting about a year ago after taking a 'sample' class at a local Community College. In that time I have made 9 lap quilts, one king size quilt and numerous tabletoppers, etc. I set my machine up on our 24" x 30" dining table whenever we stop for a few days and work on projects while DH goes fishing. My stash is in a basket that also doubles as my end table. ( I can really cram a bunch of fabric in it !) I was able to sell the king size quilt for over $500.00 and have purchased new fabric for another. Space is always an issue in an RV but there is always a way ! I used the inside wall of maintenance shop to hang my backing, batting and top to sandwich together before the quilting. A chair next to the table helps hold the bulk and I just quilt away !
One really great thing is the number of shops I get to visit and all of the new friends I make at RV Parks. There are lots of quilters in RV's !
RVing is not for everyone but don't let your living circumstances limit you. I say "pick up your scissors and run with them !"
