What setting do you use for the scant? I move the needle over to the right as far as it will go and think this should not be this way. Any help from the 12000 owners is appreciated. I have the 7700 and accidentally discovered that I could get a perfect scant 1/4" seam, by using the wrong foot! It was driving me crazy, until I realized what was causing it. I believe it was the Satin Stitch foot, which I'd accidentally left on the machine; the little recessed area kept pulling my fabric over, just enough to miss the 1/4".
