I had trouble with a squirrel, sitting on one of the bird feeders and stuffing himself with black oil sunflower seeds. Found a squirrel baffle (Tractor Supply Co.) and that seems to have solved the problem. Funny thing is, I have five feeders and that's the only one he seemed to bother. Anyway, I wonder if it'd work as well, for a raccoon. This is the one I have -

I have it sitting at the top of the pole, just beneath the feeder (the top of the baffle can be removed, to slide over the pole, instead of hang).
