That is a GORGEOUS quilt design. It's by Holice Turnbow. Holice is a member of this board, so you could send him a pm asking for advice. I haven't done anything like that on my longarm so any specific advice would be practically worthless, but I do think that the entire design should be stabilized before you start with the intricate quilting. Once it's well stabilized I don't think you have to start in the center. I would do more stabilizing than just stitching all sides down. I would also quilt the "bones" of the design before the detailed work. Please post your results. I want to do a project like this someday and would like to know how to proceed.
