I made two of these the same way about five years ago and they are still going strong!!
I love how light weight and portable these design walls are. So glad you finally have yours as well!!
Oh, and I had to cut mine down a bit too, so I took the foam bit that was leftover, covered it with some batting and made a mini design wall that holds a block or two to take to my sewing machine. This little thing comes in handy more than I would have thought!
