I have the Contiental dry iron. It's heavy enough for me and gets very hot. It's about 5 years old and still working great. For classes I use this one:

I found it at Tuesday Mornings for $9.99 some time ago. Also Tuesday Morning has Rowenta made in Germany irons in the store here. Rowenta was sold and now the new irons with Rowenta name are made in China.
