Featherweights never came as treadle or hand crank machines. Only electric. From their introduction to the end of production there were minor changes externally. I don't think ( my personal opinion ) there's much difference in the vintages.

Some people mistakenly call Singer 99s Featherweights because they are 3/4 size machines. But they are totally incorrect.
