If one definition of "low volume quilts" is they are made from "low volume runs of a fabric design," I found several sites of interest. There are fabric printers that will print your own designs on fabric especially for you, and/or offer to sell your printed fabric to others and pay you a commission. Because I am also an oil painter, I thought of using my paintings to create a collection to make my own totally original quilts. The process is quite pricey, but it's fun to think about it anyway!
