Wow, Don - the wooden case, both top and bottom, is in wonderful condition!!!
If you decide to restore it, I am sure you will make it beautiful. That said, it does look really nice already, with wear on the decals. It tells the story of the machine having been used.
I have a machine around that vintage as well, which I am presently trying to get just in working order. I love that the upper decals are in gorgeous condition, but the decals on the flat bed are worn almost completely. It tells a story of a machine which was well-cared for, and well-used. (That said, there is one decal which someone intentionally scrathed off, and I wish I could replace just that one!!! :-) )
Your flat bed decals are worn in a nice way, also, that tells of years of careful use.
Anyhow, if you do replace them, please do post a photo.
