It's already been established in this thread (complete with the same link) that snopes says it's a myth. What nearly everyone else in this thread is saying is that they personally have had trouble with artificial sweeteners or know someone who has. Just because the original story may not be true does not mean that artificial sweeteners are safe for consumption.
