My son and his wife like Marietta. His twin sister lives in Roswell. Marietta definitely has a quilting community like calicoquilter said. My daughter says there are copperheads but my son has never mentioned them. Both of these kids grew up in Massachusetts and prefer the milder winter weather. Lots of people like the greater Atlanta area. I think it's a good bet. Best wishes for your hunt. Lake Lanier is very nice and that is in Cummings Georgia.
