The hip movements don't particularly bother me. It's the touching of the genitalia that does bother me. Some things should still be done in private!
I think it's refreshing to watch someone just stand up there and sing. Maybe a little body swaying or foot tapping to go along with it - but isn't the song supposed to be the point of the performance?
