If your binding is bias, it will go around the circle nicely. You do need to make sure you are not stretching the bias as this will cause it to pull up the circle edge. I like to use my stiletto and kind of push the binding towards the needle as you sew the bias binding to the circle. Pushing the bias binding towards the needle gives the binding enough extra ease to lay flat when finished.
