Thanks for those quick replies. Hadn't thought about how bulky the seams would make it...not good in a binding. See, told you I was dumb!
I prefer to think of my events like this as "unintentionally creative"! Life is a learning experience and you will find a way to use the fabric, at some point. I would be WAY too lazy to attempt to sew the fabric back together and would look in my stash to see what I have that would work and possibly find something that works better than the original fabric.
