Hi, everyone. Just remembered I wanted to do an update on my Quantum L-500 machine and all the woes I have shared about it. I emailed and whined and pestered Singer(after they insulted me by email
, until they finally sent me a shipping label to send the machine to be checked. After some time they sent me a refurbished identical machine. Said mine could not be repaired, after more than one tech looked at it. I told them from the start there was something structurally wrong with it! The new machine sews great, and doesn't sound like it will tear itself up. Nice smooth running machine. Of corse now my Janome is my first choice, but have the Singer for back up. Moral of my story-never give up!
