On one of EB's show, she was making blocks that were popular from WWII. As I was looking thru a book I have called O' Glory, I saw a pattern that I remember she had made. Can't remember the exact name but it had the word "ROCKET" in it. PM if you would like some additional info. Depending on your skills, you can do simple blocks just using patriotic fabric.
