I have used those washable markers on a quilt fabric that was previously washed. I marked and ironed repeatedly over areas to really check out how it washed out on a recently finished quilt.
I just threw it in the washer with detergent and let it go through the whole cycle, threw it it the dryer. When done no marker left on quilt.
