I like to receive the quilts as clean, seams intact,squared, and ironed. Backing and batting included, with backing also ironed etc. No smell of cigarette smoke or pet hair! [This is absolute due to my allergies.] Backing should be larger than quilt by about 4" each side. Please don't ask me to piece your back or batting, or if you ask then politely accept my 'No." Personally, I don't do binding though I do know of some who do and then charge extra.
I write everything down that is expected and what is agreed upon.
Since I mostly do charity quilts this hasn't been a problem.
